Our business school is named after Graceland alumni and member of the Advertising Hall of Fame, Charles H. Sandage. Known as the Father of Advertising Education, Sandage was a true educational entrepreneur, creative thinker and successful writer who published five books, including “Advertising Theory and Practice”, which has been used extensively in advertising education for decades.
We are often asked, what exactly is Enactus? Part of the national Enactus orgnization, teams of students examine needs in their community, identify potential solutions and lead community impact projects. This allows communities to benefit from innovative ideas, plus students gain real world experience to advance their personal and professional lives. Projects are presented at the national Enactus competition where Graceland competes against over 500 other universities every spring.
Graceland Enactus is sponsored by The Sandage Center for the Study of Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. The Sandage Center seeks to perpetuate the spirit of free enterprise in students, faculty and community. The study of America’s entrepreneurial tradition enhances and strengthens our economy by encouraging innovation and by familiarizing young people with a knowledge of the principles and history of free enterprise.

After graduating Graceland University I felt thoroughly equipped with soft and hard skills necessary for a successful future in my field. As I complete my master's degree in business administration, and throughout my classes, I never felt out of place. I was very well prepared during my time at Graceland to be able to tackle the challenges of acquiring a graduate level education.
We were fortunate to have some incredible professors in the C.H. Sandage School of Business & SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise, now Enactus) Program. Professors who had been successful in the world of business world before offering up their knowledge as professors to students. Even the ones who had been in education their whole careers found a way to relate their course material to real-world scenarios.
The C.H. Sandage School of Business is top notch with all professors contributing in different ways. From Steve Anders helping us analyze and break down data and trends, to Max Pitt giving us real life business cases to study, collaborate with peers, and develop sustainable solutions for business longevity, you get a winning and real-world education.
At Graceland, I found most value in the professors that I had. Every single professor would go the extra mile for me to ensure I understood the curriculum. What truly made a difference with these professors is that they would open their doors to their classrooms as well as their own homes if needed. Professors would ensure that curriculum was understood and they would post open office hours where you could speak to them in regards to any subject being taught. The professors also ensured to relate real life experiences or scenarios that would ensure relatability to the curriculum for a better grasp.
