We woke up early and piled into the busses. I’m not sure if I’m more anxious or excited at this point. Being in the airport has been a surreal feeling, and I’m not sure it has truly kicked in that I will be studying abroad this summer and going overseas for the first time.
Limited cell service is freaking me out, as well as the horror of airports losing luggage — knocks on imaginary wood — this is good, though. I am ready for an adventure as an independent woman who feels she’s taking on the world! This is the biggest adventure yet and it’s quite scary all on my own, but I am ready… I think.
While waiting for this adventure to begin, I am thinking of all I’m going to be doing: the Beatles is really all I’m thinking about. My dream of walking down Abbey Road is coming true! I want to become submerged into the city. I’m ready to take on all that there is to offer. I don’t know what to expect fully yet but I am so ready. I don’t think it’s set in for everyone yet” the excitement… Or it’s just too dang early in the morning.
