Karen Gergely presented at the Midwest Art History Society Conference in Houston, TX, March 10-12, 2022. As part of a larger discussion on socially engaged art history, Gergely presented “Not Waiting on the World to Change: Finding Peace, Fight, and Voice Through Social Engagement.” The presentation focused on pedagogy and course design for her course Art for Social Change – a studio-based course with emphasis in socially engaged art history and activism.
