Three times a year, Graceland University formally invites a select group of high school students, who have been accepted to Graceland and have shown impressive academic achievement, to attend Academic Honors Day on the Lamoni campus. On February 15, 26 such students from eight states, including Montana, Michigan, Arizona and Delaware, spent the day at Graceland, attending sessions offering the opportunity to hear from faculty and a student panel about Graceland and the Honors Program, engage in financial aid discussions and interview with Honors Committee members.
In recognition of the students’ achievements, and based on participation in the Academic Honors Day activities, academic scholarships are awarded from $1,000 – 3,000, received by each participant, to full tuition, renewable for up to four years, for the student selected as the Prestigious Honors Scholarship recipient. Congratulations to each of these students.
Graceland University is committed to academic quality and achievement. Students such as these who attend Academic Honors Day help support Graceland’s mission, which is centered on building learning communities, helping to empower persons for transformational service and leadership.
