Graceland University Assistant Professor of Art Karen Gergely, MFA, was invited to present at the 17th biennial conference of FATE (Foundations in Art: Theory and Education), Foundations in Flux, hosted by Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio, April 4-6. Gergely’s presentation, “Cultivating Social Engagement at a Small, Rural Liberal Arts University,” was part of a larger theme of social justice, peace and completive objectives. She also curated, chaired and moderated a panel on “Art and Activism.”
