Graceland University Associate Professor of History John Franklin, PhD
Graceland University Associate Professor of History John Franklin, PhD, attended the Missouri Valley History Conference with history majors Anthony Ginger ’19 and Shane Majerus ’19 in Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 28 – March 2. Ginger and Majerus presented papers in sessions hosted by Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society.
Ginger’s paper, “The Fall of a Regime: How Human Rights Violations in Somoza’s Nicaragua Led to Their Downfall,” was originally written for Franklin’s U.S. Relations class. Majerus’ paper, “Lost Influence: British Influence in the Hawaiian Islands, 1777-1843,” was based on his research in the history senior seminar.
