During her visit, Axne heard from several students, all of whom expressed the immense benefit of financial programs like the unique Iowa Tuition Grant and the federal Pell Grant. She heard about Graceland’s agricultural business program from Max Pitt, MBA, associate professor of Business.
“It was so wonderful to be back at Graceland University to visit with some incredible students and faculty and get a glimpse at the beautiful facilities. Having played 5 on 5 girls’ basketball at this campus, I know just how important Graceland University is not only to its students but also the surrounding community.” – U.S. Representative Cindy Axne (IA-3)
Axne concluded her visit with a tour of the recently renovated Newcom Student Union and the Shaw Center for Performing Arts.
“I look forward to Rep. Axne’s next visit to our campus,” said Draves. “I know that our priorities are aligned and hope to see her again soon.”
