Graceland University President John Sellars is pleased to announce a restructuring of the business services area with R. Paul Davis named as Vice President of Business Services and Janice Tiffany as Director of Business Services, effective Feb. 1.
Davis has served as Chief Information and Facilities Officer for Graceland University since 2012. He is a 1981 graduate of Graceland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Mathematics and Computer Science, and earned a Master of Arts in Religion from Park University in 1998. Davis worked for Hewlett-Packard as a software engineer 1981-95 and for Community of Christ, Graceland’s sponsoring church, 1995-2011, the last seven years as Counselor to the Presiding Bishop.
Davis has an extensive background in the financial realm and has done an outstanding job as Chief Information and Facilities Officer. In his acceptance, Paul stated, “This is an exciting time for Graceland, and I believe that Janice and I can effectively work to secure Graceland’s financial future. I am honored to be a part of the journey.”
Tiffany, who will be taking over as Director of Business Services, has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Business Administration and Business Education from Graceland, 1983, and a Juris Doctor degree from Concord Law School, 2009. Tiffany has worked for Graceland for 31 years. She began at Graceland as Cashier in 1983, and since has worked as Accountant and Controller, and moved to Vice President of Business Services in 2007.
Tiffany commented, “As Director of Business Services, I’m looking forward to this new structure to accomplish what needs to be done.”
President Sellars added, “Paul and Janice work well together, complementing each other’s strengths, and this adjustment in the business services team will empower the university. The potential for growth requires insight and collaboration, and these two bring their best to the table with innovative and creative solutions.”
