Drew Sams ’21 and Dr. James Geiselman’s article, Effects of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sports (RED-S) on the Growth and Development of Adolescent Wrestlers: A Clinical Review, has been nominated as one of six articles up for this year’s Nutritional Perspective’s Article of the Year Award. Awards will be held at this year’s 2022 ACA Council on Nutrition Symposium in Houston, TX.
Nutritional Perspectives is the Council on Nutrition’s quarterly, peer-reviewed journal publishing original papers and review articles across the full range of nutritional science. The focus of all manuscripts submitted to the journal is to increase the knowledge in nutritional science relevant to human nutrition.
Sams graduated from Graceland in 2021 majoring in Allied Health with an Applied Health Science concentration and is currently pursuing his MS in Nutrition and Human Performance from Graceland. Sams is currently the Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant for the MSNHP program and Head Assistant Wrestling Coach and Dr. Geiselman is an Assistant Professor of Allied Health.
