Dr. James Geiselman and Drew Sams, MS presented an educational session at the conference in Washington, DC
Dr. James Geiselman, Associate Professor of Allied Health, and Drew Sams, ’21 MS ’23, Instructor of Health and Movement Science and Assistant Wrestling Coach, presented at the 2024 ACA Engage conference in Washington, DC in January of 2024.
During the Saturday morning educational session, Sams and Dr. Geiselman presented on “The Role of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport” which was based off of Sams’ 2021 student-published research article that was published in the journal of Nutritional Foundations
In the afternoon session, Dr. Geiselman shared his presentation titled “Clinical Management of Exertional Rhabdomyolysis for the Chiropractic Physician”.
This was Sams’ first professional conference presentation appearance.
Dr. Geiselman and Sams are faculty members in the Department of Health and Movement Science at Graceland.
