Graceland University is pleased to announce that Dr. Tammy Everett has accepted an offer to become Graceland’s next Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective July 1.
Dr. Everett earned a Ph.D. at the University of Iowa and has done an outstanding job as Dean of the Gleazer School of Education. Under her leadership, the GSOE has earned national rankings for its online programs. With her background in the education process in face-to-face, online, and blended environments, she is an excellent choice to create the learning communities envisioned for Graceland University.
In her acceptance, Tammy stated, “This is an exciting time for Graceland, and I believe the long history of effecting change and transforming lives will continue. I am honored to be a part of the journey.”
Everett will replace Dr. Parris Watts, who has made significant contributions that have strengthened Graceland. Upon learning the news of Dr. Everett’s selection as the next VPAA, Parris stated, “My best wishes are extended to Tammy and Graceland’s faculty as we continue the work of helping to position Graceland to become a truly great university.”
