Vitente will represent all physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in the country at the APTA House of Delegates for the second year in a row.
Graceland DPT Director of Admissions and Associate Clinical Professor Arvie Vitente, PT, DPT, PhD, was named to the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) House of Delegates. The House of Delegates is a policymaking body within the APTA and consists of voting delegates from various chapters, sections/academies, and the PTA Caucus, as well as nonvoting delegates such as the Board of Directors, ACAPT, APTA Student Assembly, Ethics and Judicial Committee, and Bylaws and House Documents Committee, along with consultants.
The House convenes annually to make decisions on important issues that can have significant impacts on the APTA and the physical therapy profession as a whole. It also holds elections for national leaders, including the APTA Board of Directors and APTA Nominating Committee.
Dr. Vitente, the DPT Director of Admissions and Associate Clinical Professor, has been elected to serve as one of the delegates this year. This will be his second year representing all physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in the country at the APTA House of Delegates. Congratulations, Dr. Vitente!
The event will be held on July 23-24, 2023 in Washington, DC.
