Within the Physical Therapy program, Dr. Cathcart teaches physiology, movement science, and leadership in rehabilitation business. She also teaches professional competencies in her service as part of the clinical education team. Dr. Cathcart feels she was “born a teacher” and takes joy in helping students understand complex concepts, mature into new P.T. professionals, and identify their individual career paths.

Dr. Cathcart enjoys conveying the “story” of body processes in human physiology and movement science. She owned a P.T. practice and built niche programs in other clinics. As such, she is eager to help future P.T.s identify their leadership roles in their careers and believes that every P.T. has a leadership role to play. Beyond these teaching areas, Dr. Cathcart is a board-certified Women’s Health Specialist and a pelvic health specialist; she is passionate about helping patients of all genders and ages optimize their pelvic and gender-related health.

Dr. Cathcart previously led her practice with the mission statement of "Do good work; empower people" and conveyed to all employees and clinical students that their work should filter through the lens of treating every patient/client in the same way they would want a loved family member, friend, or themselves to be treated. On a personal note, she enjoys spending time with her twin sons. She is a lifelong runner with a love of concerts, dark chocolate and red wine, hiking, and traveling.
